
Four Top-10 Foes Await In Laguna Beach As Beach Dawgs Prep For Best In The West

SEATTLE – The Washington beach volleyball team will face a big test at the Best in the West tournament in Laguna Beach, California, this weekend, taking on four of the nation's elite at Laguna Main Beach.
UW, ranked No. 19 in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll, will take on four top-10 teams in No. 6 Cal Poly, No. 2 UCLA, No. 4 Stanford and No. 7 USC.
The Beach Dawgs will open the tournament with a non-conference matchup with Cal Polly at 9 a.m. PT on Friday before squaring off with UCLA in an MPSF match at 4 p.m. A pair of MPSF matches will follow on Saturday, with UW facing Stanford at 8 a.m. and USC at Noon.
Coming off of a 2-1 showing at the ASU/GCU Invitational to close out March, Washington sits 11-9 on the season, 0-2 in MPSF action.
Cal Poly owns a 16-2 record, while UCLA enters the weekend at 22-2. Stanford boasts a 16-6 record, with USC sitting at 16-6 coming into Laguna Beach.
