TEMPE, Ariz. – Washington earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over South Carolina on Saturday morning, clinching the match with a decisive win in the No. 3 flight.

Splitting the first two courts in the opening wave, Emma Hohenauer and Sarah Wilcock secured Washington's first point with a three-set victory at No. 4. The Beach Dawgs then gained momentum with a dominant straight-set win by Hannah Doyle and Alina Urzua at No. 5. With the match on the line, Ella Wimmer and Lauren Wilcock delivered the clinching point at No. 3, battling back for a 17-21, 21-17, 15-9 victory.
