
Huskies Run-Rule Weber State, Fall To ASU

TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 25 Washington completed the second day of the Littlewood Classic with a 9-0 run-rule win over Weber State to open the morning. UW concluded the night against Arizona State, falling 4-1.
The Huskies move to 4-5 on the season.
#25 WASHINGTON 9, WEBER STATE 0 (6)
UW got on the board early. Giselle Alvarez had her first of two doubles in the first. She went on to swipe second and home (on a double steal) for the 1-0 advantage.
Bases loaded and no outs in the second, Alvarez hit her second double of the game to drive in a pair of runs. Jadyn Glab followed with a sacrifice fly to put the Huskies up 4-0.
With two on and no outs in the third, Alycia Flores send a double to right center to drive in Charity Sevaaetasi. A fielder's choice allowed Addie Craig to score and a single by Ava Carroll brought in the third run of the inning.
The Huskies entered run-rule territory with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth on a Glab RBI double. She came around to score on a Wildcat miscue to put UW up 9-0.
Sophia Ramuno (2-1) took a perfect game into the fifth inning, but a one-out infield single ended the bid. She struck out a season-high eight batters in her fourth outing of the season to pick up her second win.
#25 WASHINGTON 1, ARIZONA STATE 4
Arizona State brought in the first run of the contest in the second.
UW answered back with a run of its own in the top of the third courtesy of a sacrifice fly by Alvarez, her third RBI of the day.
The Sun Devils added two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead.
Morgan Reimer (1-3) went the distance for the second time this season. She struck out a season-high seven, breaking her mark set last night.
Washington concludes the Littlewood Classic on Sunday against North Dakota. The game will not be live streamed, but stats will be available at HuskyStats.com.
