UW MBB Falls 93-69 On The Road At Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Washington fell behind early and was unable to climb out of the hole Wednesday night at Ohio State, falling 93-69 at Schottensein Center.
Tyler Harris, Zoom Diallo and DJ Davis tied for the team lead in points, each posting 14.
The Buckeyes were red hot from the floor, shooting 58.2% overall, including 66.7% in the first half. OSU made 11-of-18 attempts from behind the arc.

The Huskies got off to a sloppy start as Washington turned the ball over seven times in the first 8:18 of game action, allowing Ohio State to build an early lead that grew to as much at 18 with 1:57 to play in the first half.

Diallo and Harris combined for 20 points in the opening stanza, including a Diallo layup with 18 seconds before the halftime break to pull UW within 15.

Needing a strong start to the second half, instead the Buckeyes expanded the lead by more than 20 with 12 and a half minutes to go and UW never got closer, suffering its second largest defeat of the season.

Washington will have a chance to bounce back on the second half of its road swing out east, taking on Penn State Saturday. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. PT, airing on the Big Ten Network.
