
Four Huskies Head To The AVCA Pairs Championship

SEATTLE – Four Beach Dawgs are set to compete in the AVCA Pairs Championship in Huntsville, Alabama, starting Friday, November 7, at 6:00 a.m. PT. Fans can follow results and watch live coverage here and here.
Now in its fourth year, the AVCA Pairs Championship showcases the nation's top 64 collegiate pairs in a single-elimination format, with matches running Friday through Sunday.
Washington has qualified for the event every year since the tournament began and earned two bids this season. Teila Allen and Emma Hohenauer, seeded No. 25, open play Friday at 6 a.m. PT against No. 40 North Florida's Espy and Murray. Ella Tyus and Zoe Pabarcus, seeded No. 45, follow with their first-round match at 7:15 a.m. PT against No. 20 UAB's Haas and Stant.
The Huskies secured their championship spots at the Alki Fall Classic, where Allen and Katarina Pantovic originally clinched a bid. Hohenauer will step in for Pantovic to partner with Allen in Huntsville. All four Huskies, including freshman Pabarcus, will make their first appearance at the AVCA Pairs Championship.
