Jeffrey Langenstein Promoted To Associate Head Coach
November 04, 2025 | Gymnastics
SEATTLE – University of Washington women's gymnastics assistant coach Jeffrey Langenstein has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, Head Coach Jessa Hansen Parker announced Friday.
Langenstein has served as an assistant coach for the Huskies for the past four seasons and has contributed greatly to the program's evolution and competitive rise, earning this advancement within the coaching staff.
"Jeffrey has been an invaluable asset to the Washington Gymnastics program for the past five years," said Hansen Parker. "During that time, he has demonstrated tremendous commitment to our student-athletes and their growth as athletes, students, and people. It's been a privilege to work alongside him, and I'm excited to continue building something special together on Montlake."
Since joining the Huskies in 2021, Langenstein has led the Gym Dawgs' floor choreography, helping the 2025 squad earn a season-high 49.250 on floor at both the Oregon State Tri Meet and the Utah meet. Under Langenstein's guidance, four Huskies set career highs on floor last season, including standout performances from Mary McDonough, who competed at the NCAA Championships as just the second all-around athlete to ever represent the Huskies.
Prior to joining Washington, Langenstein spent three seasons at San Jose State, two at Lindenwood University, and two at California, where he had competed from 2010 to 2014.
The GymDawgs continue their preparation for the 2026 season with renewed energy under the guidance of a coaching staff dedicated to building Washington gymnastics into a program of excellence.
