November 03, 2025 | General
SEATTLE – The University of Washington Department of Athletics has named Sean Howard its new senior associate athletic director of Business Development, Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced today.
Howard brings a wide-ranging background in sports business, athlete representation, and professional team operations to Montlake. He joins the department from the Seattle Sports Commission, where he advised senior leadership on event bids and development projects for one of the nation's most vibrant sports cities.
A long-time NFL agent, Howard has represented numerous first-round draft selections — including a No. 1 overall pick — while serving with several of the industry's top athlete management firms, among them Octagon, Roc Nation, and PRIME Athletes, which he co-founded.
"We are pleased to welcome Sean Howard to Washington Athletics," said Director of Athletics Pat Chun. "His role is critical as we continue to look for ways to enhance how we connect with Husky fans, alums, corporate partners and the broader Seattle Community."
Prior to his agency work, Howard worked for the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers, where he scouted and evaluated players, assessed salary cap/labor regulations, negotiated contracts, and performed roster management.
Howard played football for UCLA and graduated with a degree in political science before earning a JD from the University of Oregon School of Law. Howard and his wife, Amy, a former UCLA dance team member, have been Seattle residents since 2022. In June 2025, their oldest daughter graduated from the UW, and their youngest daughter also previously attended UW.
