First Career ITA Singles Ranking for Soham Purohit
November 25, 2025 | Men's Tennis
SEATTLE – A mighty congratulations is in order for Washington Men's Tennis junior Soham Purohit, as he's been ranked 89th in the country by the ITA.
This is Soham's first career Singles ranking and the only member of the Huskies Men's team to be ranked so far this season. This ranking caps off his outstanding Fall season with a record of 10-2, by winning the ITA Northwestern Regional Tournament, and qualifying for the 2025 NCAA Singles Championship.
This marks the second consecutive season that the Huskies Men's Team has had at least one member included in the opening rankings, with Dzianis Zharyn (76th) & Cesar Bouchelagheim (52nd) representing UW last Spring.
Soham and the Huskies begin play on January 10th, opening with an away trip to Hawaii and returning to Montlake for the home opener against Belmont on the 17th.
