SEATTLE – Washington heads to Manhattan Beach this weekend for the SCE West Coast Championships. The tournament field includes pairs from Arizona State, Arizona, California, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Stanford, TCU, Texas, UCLA and USC. 11 of the 13 opponents finished in the top 20 of the 2025 season rankings, with Washington coming in at No. 20.
The tournament begins Friday with pool play, featuring two to three matches per pair. Saturday includes modified pool play and the first round of single-elimination bracket play, with all pairs continuing in the bracket Sunday. Seeding is based on TruVolley rankings, with adjustments made to limit multiple pairs from the same school in each pool. Live stats can be found here.

The Beach Dawgs opened their fall season in dominant fashion at the Alki Fall Classic last weekend, where Washington claimed both bids to the upcoming AVCA National Pairs Championships. Teila Allen and Katarina Pantovic captured the title, defeating teammates Ella Tyus and Zoe Pabarcus in an all-UW final. The duo of Sarah Wilcock and Emma Hohenauer also reached the semifinals, giving the Huskies three of the final four teams in the championship bracket.
