Huskies In Eighth After Two Rounds
October 25, 2025 | Men's Golf
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Washington men's golf concluded the second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate with a 3-over round. The Dawgs are even par through two rounds to sit in eighth.
"Up and down kinda day for us," head coach Alan Murry stated. "We played the back nine much better today, but we let too many scoring opportunities slip."
"Scoring was tougher today so we had a chance to move up the leaderboard but we probably didn't take advantage of the par 5s the way we should have," Murray added. "Good round from Jack with another 1-under par round and Finn was really solid with a 1-under par and he hit every green."
With Jack Murphy and Finn Koelle's rounds they moved up eight spots into a tied for 15th at 2-over overall. The two combined for seven birdies. Murphy went bogey-free in the final nine holes with three birdies.
"Grady and Jacob battled hard and were ultimately a little disappointed with their scores," Murray said. "Tough day for Brock again but he hung in there and I was proud of how he competed despite getting off to a brutal start."
Rounding out the scores for the Dawgs were Grady Millar (+2), Jacob Goode (+3) and Brock Maulding (+8).
"It will be windy tomorrow," Murray concluded. "We are looking to play a good team round and move up that leaderboard."
The Huskies conclude the tournament on Sunday at 5:30 a.m. PT/8:30 a.m. ET alongside Georgia Tech and Florida State off hole No. 1.
