Beach Dawgs Head South For Surf City Collegiate Challenge

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.ย โ Washington heads to its final full-team fall pairs tournament this weekend, competing at the Surf City Collegiate Challenge/AVCA Southern California Qualifier on Oct. 25-26 in Huntington Beach. Live stats and results can be found here.
The event features three divisions. The AVCA Championship Bid Division includes eight pools of four teams, with pool winners advancing to bracket play and consolation rounds determining final seeding. The other two divisions each include 10 pools, followed by bracket play on Sunday.
The field includes pairs from top programs across the country. The AVCA Championship Bid Division will feature pairs from Boise State, CSUN, Florida State, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Pepperdine, Saint Mary's, South Florida, UC Davis, UCLA and USC. Concordia, The Master's and Vanguard will also have pairs competing.
Last Time Out
Washington is coming off an off weekend after competing at the SCE West Coast Championship Oct. 10-12, earning quality wins against a field featuring 11 top-20 programs. Emma Hohenauer and Teila Allen led the way in Gold Division play with wins over Pepperdine and TCU, while Avery Towne and Sammy Hsu highlighted the Silver Division with victories over Pepperdine, Stanford and UCLA.
