SEATTLE โ The GymDawgs fell in their Big Ten home opener, earning a score of 194.975 against No. 18 Michigan's 194.550 in an exciting meet at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Washington opened strong on vault, with impressive routines from Emily Innes and Mary McDonough leading the way. Innes set the tone for the GymDawgs, opening the rotation with a solid 9.800. McDonough anchored the lineup with a 9.850, the team's highest vault score of the evening. Kristin Lin made her season debut in the vault lineup, contributing a 9.650.

The Huskies then moved to bars, where senior Taylor Russon delivered a standout performance. Her routine earned a 9.850, tying for the event co-champion title and highlighting the team's efforts in this rotation.
Washington found its rhythm on beam in the second half of the meet, earning a team score of 49.025. Russon and Chelsea Hallinan led the way with matching scores of 9.850, while McDonough added a solid 9.800. Lin also made her first appearance in the beam lineup this season, contributing to the team's strong showing.
The GymDawgs finished the night on a high note with their best event, floor. Washington delivered an impressive 49.175, fueled by co-champion performances from Innes and McDonough, who each scored 9.900. Caitlin McWilliams added a 9.850 to help out the Huskies.
