SEATTLE – Led by 11th-year Head Coach Robin Stephenson, the Washington women's tennis team will open up the 2025 season with a trip to Hawaii, facing the University of Hawaii on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m. PT.
There will be no live stream or lives stats for Friday's match at Hawaii.
The Huskies will start the 2025 dual season in the Aloha State before heading to Los Angeles for ITA Kick-off Weekend, beginning with a matchup against Columbia on Jan. 24.
The first home match for Washington inside Nordstrom Tennis Center will be Portland on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and will be one of 11 chances to see the Huskies at home. UW will host seven Big Ten matches at home in its inaugural season in the conference.
Washington is coming off a 17-11 record in 2023-24, including 5-5 in its final season in the Pac-12.
New Huskies Reece Carter, McKenna Koenig, Sophie Luescher, and Carina Syrtveit will be making their dual debuts for Washington on Friday.
Carter made her doubles debut with partner Alexia Jacobs in the fall as the pair defeated the No. 1 doubles team in the country at the ITA All-American Championships.
A few Dawgs are ranked in the ITA preseason poll in doubles play, including Carter and Jacobs at No. 37 and Luescher and Erika Matsuda at No. 115.
In the singles rankings, Syrtveit sits at No. 104 and Carter is ranked No. 121.
