
Purohit Wins Husky Debut In Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. -- New Dawg Soham Purohit posted his first win as a Husky today and the first win for UW this fall season, as the sophomore transfer advanced in the prequalifying rounds at the ITA All-American Championships. The tournament opened up today in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Purohit defeated Guzauskas of Illinois, 6-4, 6-3. He'll need two more singles wins to advance to the qualifying draw.
Senior Cesar Bouchelaghem was tripped up in his season opener, as he fell to Samaha of New Mexico, 6-7, 3-6. Bouchelaghem can play a consolation round tomorrow before shifting to doubles with Dzianis Zharyn later in the tournament.
