Husky Menβs Golf Signs Irish International Jake Foley
April 21, 2024 | Men's Golf
SEATTLE β Washington head men's golf coach Alan Murray has announced the Huskies' fifth signing for the 2024 signing class, with Irish amateur Jake Foley inking a National Letter of Intent.
Β
A native of Dublin playing out of Elm Park Golf Club, Foley owns nine career top-10 finishes, including wins at the European Juniors International, the FCG Callaway Collegiate World Championship and the Mallow Golf Club Senior Scratch Cup and was a qualifier for the 2023 US Junior Amateur Championship.
Β
"We are really excited to add Jake to our roster," head coach Alan Murray said. "He has played well in a variety of regions in the world and shown that his game can travel, which is a trait of the best players. He is a smart kid and will fit in well with our incoming class."
Β
Owning a scoring average of 73.60, the Blackrock College product still has his best golf well in front of him in Murray's eyes.
Β
"Jake has improved steadily over the last few years and I think he will improve throughout his time at Washington. We pride ourselves on developing guys games and Jake has a great head on his shoulders and will be a great addition to our team."
Β
Foley joins four other signees for the Huskies in Amilkar Bhana, Abel Derksen, Brock Maulding and fellow Irish international Jack Murphy.
