
UW Sweeps Washington State In Boeing Apple Cup Series

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington women's tennis team (16-9, 5-5 Pac-12) conclude the regular season with a 4-0 win over Washington State in Friday afternoon's Boeing Apple Cup Series in Pullman, Wash.
Erika Matsuda and Dariya Detkovskaya earned a 6-4 win on No. 2 doubles followed by Astrid Olsen and Alexia Jacobs on No. 1 (7-5) to put the Huskies up 1-0.
Three straight singles wins was enough to clinch the sweep 4-0, with 94-ranked Olsen (6-1, 6-4) and No. 103 Jacobs (6-4, 6-2) getting it done in straight sets.
Detkovskaya delivered the final blow to the Cougars with a 6-0 second set to give the Huskies a Boeing Apple Cup Series victory in the final regular season match.
Washington finds out its postseason fate early next week as they travel to Ojai, Calif. for the Pac-12 Championships.
