SEATTLE – Coming off three wins at home that included two sweeps, the No. 29 Husky women's tennis team (9-3) jets off to the Midwest to compete on the road for the first time since mid-January.
The Dawgs (9-3) will take on Big Ten opponents No. 44 Illinois first on Friday March 3 before playing the 9th- ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday at 9 a.m.
THE COMPETITION – NO. 44 ILLINOIS
The 44th- ranked Fighting Illini (8-4) are coming off back-to-back losses against No. 36 Alabama and No. 59 Wake Forest at the Blue Gray Tennis Classic last weekend.
THE COMPETITION – NO. 9 OHIO STATE
Ohio State is 6-4 on the season and have lost the last three, including two losses in Seattle at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships against No. 2-seed Stanford and No. 6-seed Texas. The Buckeyes are 2-1 against Pac-12 opponents and are coming off a 4-1 loss to Arizona State.
