
Two Huskies Tabbed Preseason All-Conference

SEATTLE – Lindsay Lopez and Ruby Meylan were named to the All-Pac-12 Preseason Team, the conference announced on Thursday. The Pac-12 Coaches also selected Washington fourth in the preseason poll, earning a first-place vote.
Lopez enters her second season in the Purple and Gold. In year one, she compiled a 14-3 record with a 3.25 ERA in 94.2 innings and 89 strikeouts. Lopez also recorded three saves. In conference action, Lopez posted a perfect 7-0 record in 16 appearances.
Meylan returns to the Huskies after a freshman campaign where she was named a NFCA Third Team All-American. She posted a 2.14 ERA with an 18-7 record and 204 strikeouts. Earlier this week, Meylan was named to the Top 50 watch list for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.
The 2024 season kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge. The Huskies are set to face No. 17 Nebraska, Utah Valley, No. 1 Oklahoma and Iowa State over opening weekend.
