Two-way varsity standout from Poston Butte High School, Lopez was a four-year starter who is a three-time All-Conference First Team Selection and received both 4A and 5A Division honors after her school moved to a higher Division…the four-time All-Region First Team selection was tabbed as the 2018 Region Offensive Player of the Year as well as the 2016 Region Player of the Year…has helped lead Poston Butte High School to the AIA State Playoffs in all four of her seasons, the first four State Playoff appearances in the school's history…awarded with Team MVP honors in both the 2017 and '18 seasons, and was the Rookie of the Year during her freshman season…named the 2018 PinalCentral Player of the Year, awarded to the best player in Pinal County, by the Casa Grande Dispatch…a career .513 batting average, .595 OBP, and a .883 SLG…blasted 20 home runs and drove in 153 runs…made her presence felt immediately at the high school level, posting a .520 batting average with seven home runs and 54 RBI in 32 games…has enjoyed a brilliant career on the mound, posting a 51-19 record and a 1.07 ERA…struck out 711 batters in 452.2 innings…turned in one of her best seasons last year, fanning 223 and holding opposing hitters to just a .162 batting average during her senior season...she fanned 194 batters in 127.2 innings while only nine walks during a dominating junior year. |
