
UW To Play Southern In Final Game In Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas – The Washington women's basketball team (6-2, 0-0 Big Ten) will face Southern University in the consolation game of the Pink Flamingo Championship.
Tipoff is set for 8 a.m. PT and will be broadcast on FloCollege. Sam Hyman and Marlene Stollings will be on the call, and Gary Hill will call the game from 1090 KPTR-AM.
Also in Washington's bracket is LSU and NC State who will be facing off in the championship game at 10:30 a.m. PT.

The Dawgs kept it tight in their opening game in Nassau, as they put up a fight against the 7th-ranked LSU Tigers, who got a shot off in the final seconds of the fourth to win 68-67.
Washington saw multiple players in double figures, including Sayvia Sellers who dropped a career-best 24 points and matched her career-high with four three-pointers.
The Dawgs held LSU to their lowest point total in a half this season (26) and lowest FG shooting percentage (32.9%), while also holding the Tigers to just 68 points after averaging 94 points through their first six games.
