
UW Women Open Fall Competition At Tail Of The Lake

The Washington women's rowing team will have a busy Sunday morning as a long list of UW entries will compete in the Tail of the Lake Regatta, on Lake Union in Seattle.
The regatta, hosted by Holy Names Academy, features 83 race categories for youth, masters and college crews in singles, doubles, quads, pairs, fours and eights.
The Washington women will have 34 entries over four race categories with most rowers competing in more than one race. The Huskies will row in the women's collegiate 2- 7:32 a.m.), the women's college 4+ (9:18 a.m.), the women's collegiate 8+ (11:19 a.m.) and the women's masters 1x (11:57 a.m.).
The races, which are time trials, is run on a 4,000 meter course that covers the perimeter of Lake Union, starting near the Lake Union Crew boathouse near the northwest end of the late, rowing south towards the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), and then back north up the east side of the lake to the finish near Gasworks Park.
