Six Husky Pairs Get First Wins Of Fall

The Husky Beach Volleyball squad opened up fall competition this past weekend in Spokane Valley, competing in the AVCA West Region Spokane Qualifier. UW saw six new pairs compete, including six Huskies playing their first matches in purple.

Four UW pairs were entered in the "Bid Division" competing for two qualifying spots to the AVCA National Pairs Championships later this fall season. Two more competed in the "Open Division".

In the Bid Division, the highest placing Huskies were Katarina Pantovic and Ella Wimmer, who finished fourth overall. Teila Allen and Kendall Mather teamed up to take sixth.

In the Open Division, Reagan Peterson and freshman Niki Egan won all six of their pool play matches.

Another AVCA West Region Qualifier will take place this coming weekend in Manhattan Beach, Calif. UW is already granted two bids to AVCA Nationals based on the team's 2024 performance.
