Odunze Named CSC Academic Team Member Of The Year

Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze has been voted the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for NCAA Division I football, the organization (formerly CoSIDA) announced today.
Odunze is the first Husky to earn the honor which recognizes academic and athletic success.
A finalist for the 2023 Biletnikoff, Odunze led the Huskies with 92 receptions for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns. The 1,640 yards set the program's single-season record for most receiving yards in a season while guiding UW to the Pac-12 Championship, a spot in the national championship game and a 14-1 overall record. He led the FBS in receiving yards while sixth nationally in touchdown receptions.
Odunze is a history and communications major with a 3.51 GPA. He earned a number of accolades this season including being the 23rd consensus All-America selection in UW history after earning first team honors by Associated Press, Sporting News and FWAA.
Odunze has declared for the National Football League draft which will take place in Detroit, April 25-27.
