UW Football Announces New NIL-Related Counseling Program

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week (Oct. 1-7, 2023) and in cooperation with UW Medicine, the Washington football team is proud to announce a new initiative that will provide NIL-related counseling and outreach to UW football student-athletes.
This season, the UW football program and the Husky Health and Wellness team will expand their established services to include mental health consultations and counseling related to student-athletes' participation in the NIL space.
To kick off initiatives, Sport Psychologist Dr. Keino Miller, will host a mid-season mental health check-in and will continue check ins and education regularly throughout the season and year.
Dr. Miller, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington with a specialization in Sport and Performance Psychology. He's acquired over 10 years of experience serving athletes, high-achieving individuals, and families, to address a variety of concerns including:
Services provided by the Husky Health and Wellness team will expand to the entire UW student-athlete community throughout the year.
