Four Named To Pac-12 Preseason Team

SEATTLE – Sam Fowler, Christian Soto, Nate Jones and Kalani Kossa-Rienzi were named to the Pac-12 men's soccer preseason team, the conference announced today.
Yesterday, the Pac-12 announced the Huskies were picked to win the conference that was voted on by the league's head coaches.
Fowler, a senior goalkeeper, started in 14 games last season and posted a 0.80 goals against average. He recorded 30 saves and guided Washington to an 11-2-1 record while in goal with four shutouts.
Soto, a 2022 first team all-conference selection, returns to the Huskies after scoring four goals. In the season opener, Soto netted a career-high two goals on his way to being named Pac-12 Player of the Week.
Jones, a 2022 second team all-conference honoree, anchors the defensive line. Last season, Jones notched a pair of goals.
Kossa-Rienzi returns to Montlake after being named to first team all-conference a season ago. The junior from Berkeley started in 19 matches for the Huskies last season with three goals and three assists.
