Boyd, Kwon Among Top-20 At Juli Inkster Invitational

FAIRFAX, Calif. β The Washington women's golf team finished in seventh place at the Juli Inkster Invitational Tuesday at the Meadow Club. UW had two golfers β Camille Boyd and Brittany Kwon β finish in the top 20.

Washington finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 887, 23 strokes over par. The Huskies finished just one stroke behind sixth-place BYU and just three back of fifth-place California.

Boyd turned in the low round among the Huskies in the third round, scoring a 2-under 70 (four birdies, two bogies). She finished 14th overall, at 3-over for the tournament.

Kwon, who carded a 2-under 70 in the second round, tied for 17th, with a three-round total of 221, 5-over par.

Stefanie Deng scored a 3-over 75 on the final round to finish in a tie for 27th, at 7-over for the three rounds.

Kennedy Knox tied for 48th (11-over) and Winnie Ng was tied for 58th (14-over).

The Huskies return to action March 24-26 at the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix.
