Meylan Tabbed Pac-12 Freshman Of The Week

SEATTLE – Following a 2-0 weekend at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, pitcher Ruby Meylan has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. This is the first conference honor for Meylan.
Meylan recorded a 2-0 record over three appearances with two shutouts. Over her 17 innings pitched, Meylan threw 25 strikeouts with two runs allowed.
Overall on the season, Meylan holds a 0.61 ERA with a 6-0 record and a save. In addition, she has thrown four shutouts and 65 strikeouts. Meylan's ERA ranks 20th nationally while 11th in victories, 8th in strikeouts and 2nd in shutouts after three weeks of the season.
Meylan and the Huskies will compete this weekend at the Grand Canyon Classic, March 3-5, in Phoenix. Over the three days, Washington will face Michigan State, Boise State, New Mexico, Charlotte and Grand Canyon.
