
Danielle Lawrie To Be Inducted To Pac-12 Hall Of Honor

SEATTLE – Former Husky All-American Danielle Lawrie is set to be inducted into the Pac-12 Hall of Fame as part of 2023 class, the conference announced on Thursday.
The individuals to be inducted for the 21st annual Hall of Honor class are: Susie Parra (Arizona), Jackie Johnson-Powell (Arizona State), Dr. Luella Lilly (California), Ceal Barry (Colorado), Janie Takeda Reed (Oregon), Dr. Mary Budke (Oreon State), Jessica Mendoza (Stanford), Natalie Williams (UCLA), Barbara Hallquist DeGroot (USC), Kim Gaucher (Utah), Danielle Lawrie (Washington) and Sarah Silvernail (Washington State). The 2023 class will be the first ever all-female class in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX.
Lawrie, a three-time First Team All-American and two-time National Player of the Year, maintains the Pac-12 strikeout (1,860) and wins (136) record. She helped the Huskies to their first ever national championship in 2009. During the historic 2009 season, Lawrie compiled 521 strikeouts while allowing 76 walks in 352.2 innings with a 42-8 record.
She played professionally for the USSSA Pride in the National Pro Fastpitch league and was a two-time Olympian (2008, 2020) for Team Canada. Lawrie most recently won the bronze medal in Tokyo.
Lawrie was inducted into the Husky Hall of Fame in 2018.
Lawrie and the rest of the Pac-12 Hall of Honor class will officially be inducted on Friday, March 3 during a private ceremony as part of the week-long Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas. Following the induction, they will also be recognized at halftime of the semifinal game.
