#25 Washington Drops Non-Conference Matchup to #22 Stanford, 196.625 - 196.375

STANFORD, Calif. -- The Washington gymnastics team (4-7, 0-4 Pac-12) dropped a close competition with Stanford this afternoon, 196.625 - 196.375.
Both teams were coming off scoring their season-bests, with Washington notching a 196.750 against Arizona on Feb. 10 and Stanford recording a 196.725 in the 2023 Metroplex Challenge.
The GymDawgs began on bars, where they were led by Taylor Russon who earned a season-best 9.875. Lilly Tubbs tied a career-high 9.850 and Deiah Moody earned a 9.800 to lead Washington to a 49.175 on bars.
Washington earned its second highest vault score of the season with a 49.150, thanks to strong performances from the fifth-year senior duo Amara Cunningham (9.850) and Brenna Brooks (9.850), along with Skylar Killough-Wilhelm (9.875) who tied a season-high and earned first place on vault.
The Huskies earned a 49.200 on the floor, an event that has consistently landed them scores in the 49s all season.
Cunningham finished in a four-way tie on floor with three Stanford gymnasts, earning a 9.900 in the anchor position.
