Boyd Leads Huskies After One Round At Therese Hession

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Washington women's golf team finished day one of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in 16th place, after posting a team score of 23-over 307, Sunday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The tournament, hosted by Ohio State, includes 10 teams ranked in the latest Golfstat.com top 25.
Washington was led by junior Camille Boyd, who carded a 2-over 73 on the par-71 course. After a 2-over first nine, she made one birdie and one bogey on her second nine. Boyd will head into the second round tied for 28th place.
Brittany Kwon turned in the second-lowest card for the Huskies, with a 6-over 77.
Stefanie Deng finished 7-over, Adithi Anand carded an 8-over 79, and Jamie Hsieh was another stroke back with a 9-over 80.
The tournament continues Monday morning with the second of three rounds.
