
GymDawgs Lose Dual to Arizona, Earn Season-High Score 196.750

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Washington gymnastics team (4-6, 0-4 Pac-12) narrowly lost to the Arizona Wildcats Friday evening at the McKale Center, 196.800 - 196.750.
Washington scored their highest score of the season thus far with a 196.750.
Washington started out strong in their first two events of the evening, outscoring the Wildcats on bars and vault.
The Huskies earned a 49.200 on the uneven bars to begin the evening, which Skylar Killough-Wilhelm led as she matched her season-high 9.925.
Taylor Russon tied her career-high on the bars with a 9.850, placing third on the event. Deiah Moody tied her season-high 9.825.
Amara Cunningham and Killough-Wilhelm tied for first place on vault, each earning a 9.875. The 9.875 tied Cunningham's season-high and set a new season-best for Killough-Wilhelm.
The duo also led the way in the floor exercise, both earning a 9.900, tying a career-high for Killough-Wilhelm.
The meet was neck and neck the entire way with the GymDawgs narrowly edging out the GymCats until the very end.
Washington's struggle on the beam in the final rotation was ultimately what gave Arizona the lead. UW earned a 49.025 on the beam, their lowest event of the evening.
Deiah Moody notched a career-high 9.900 in the anchor spot on beam to lead the GymDawgs.
