
Women's Tennis Heads To ITA Northwest Regionals

STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington women's tennis team is off to Stanford University for the ITA Northwest Regional Championships. Competition will begin Friday, Oct. 13 at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The four-day event begins at 8:30 a.m. PT on Friday where eight Huskies will be vying for singles and doubles titles.

FRIDAY'S SCHEDULE
Doubles
Doubles champions from the weekend, along with singles champions and finalists, will qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego, Calif. Nationals will take place Nov. 2-5.
In the preseason ITA rankings, Sarah-Maude Fortin is ranked No. 115 in singles.
LOOKING BACK
The Huskies are coming off an impressive 2022-23 season, where they had their best tournament finish since 2019.
Washington concluded the season with a final record of 18-9, a Pac-12 semifinals run, and the program's 17th NCAA tournament appearance. It also marked the team's first back-to-back tourney appearances since 2010-11.
The Huskies ended last season with a 4-1 loss to the 13th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, the Big 12 Conference co-champions, in the second round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships.
