Premium less-than-truckload (LTL) motor carrier teams up with the Huskies starting with 2022/2023 Athletics Season
SEATTLE – Washington Athletics announced today that leading Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) motor carrier, Old Dominion Freight Line (OD), is now the Official Freight Carrier of Washington Athletics. This multi-year relationship combines both organizations known for excellence and will give OD access to gameday activations, events and media throughout the college athletics season.
"We welcome Old Dominion as a corporate partner for the upcoming season," said University of Washington Chief Revenue Officer Heath Bennett. "We share a commitment to service, collaboration and providing a first-class experience, and we are thankful for their partnership."
"OD is proud to partner with a premier athletic department like Washington, and we're excited to be a part of Husky Nation. We believe their drive for excellence and commitment to winning aligns well with our culture at OD," said Dick Podiak, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for OD. "We know it takes a lot of hard work to be The Best in the Game, so we're proud to support the Huskies, who are striving to be the best in theirs."
OD's integrated agreement and designation as the Official Freight Carrier of Washington Athletics began July 1st in collaboration with Washington Athletics' multimedia rightsholder, LEARFIELD, and its Huskies Sports Properties.
Old Dominion Freight Line, based in Thomasville, North Carolina, handles LTL freight shipments throughout North America, focusing on on-time, damage-free deliveries. Shippers and industry experts consistently regard OD as one of the best-run trucking companies because of its operational efficiencies and commitment to premium service. Additionally, Old Dominion has a track record of being the #1 National LTL Carrier for Quality for 12-years in a row according to Mastio & Company.
