The Dawgs are 4-0 all-time against Colorado State with the last matchup coming in 1998. All previous competitions were at neutral sites in Nevada and California.

QUEEN KLINGLER
Senior Baylee Klingler has continued to find success at the plate throughout the start of the 2022 season. She currently leads the Pac-12 in home runs (9), which ranks fifth in the nation. Her 32 RBI are the most by an individual in the NCAA. The Texas native hit her third grand slam of the season against New Mexico State Friday. Against NMSU, she recorded her second multi-home run game of the year (last against Tennessee). She also tallied seven RBI. The last Husky to record seven RBI was Morganne Flores on 2/20/21. Only two other Dawgs have had more RBI in a single game, Michelle Church (8) on 4/30/93 and Taylor Smith (8) on 3/21/10.
PHENOM FRESHMEN
Washington's freshmen have made quite the splash in the first weeks of competition. Against Robert Morris Tuesday, Olivia Johnson hit her first career double, Angie Yellen hit her first career triple and Kinsey Fiedler hit her first home run in Husky Softball Stadium in her first at-bat. Last weekend, Johnson hit two home runs in the Boyd Gaming Classic, hitting .286 and slugging .714. She also tallied six RBI for the weekend. Fiedler currently leads the team in stolen bases (6). Yellen hit her first career home run Saturday against UNLV. She had only seen two at-bats prior to entering as a pinch hitter in the competition. Rylee Holtorf has seen extensive time at shortstop, and is hitting .208 on the year.
PLAIN AND SIMPLE
Gabbie Plain continues to cement her legacy in the Husky record books. Against UNLV Saturday, Plain struck out a season-high 13 batters. This was her 32nd game with 10+ strikeouts. This season, she ranks second with eight wins, third with 76 strikeouts in the Pac-12. The Australian native is tied for first in the nation with six shutouts. She earned Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week honors for the first two weeks of the 2022 season.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE
Selected by members of the USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Committee, Coach Heather Tarr will lead the red, white and blue at the 2022 World Games, in addition to various international competitions throughout 2022. Various Huskies have competed for Team USA over the year, and have been named to future rosters as well. The Husky freshmen trio of Kinsey Fiedler, Olivia Johnson and Rylee Holtorf won the WBSC U-18 World Cup in December 2021 as part of USA Softball's U-18 Women's National Team. The three also won gold at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games, where the U.S. recorded a 10-0 run-rule victory over Mexico in the gold medal game, to finish the tournament undefeated at 6-0.
Seniors Sami Reynolds and Baylee Klingler were named to the USA Softball roster for the 2022 Canada Cup, held in Surrey, B.C., June 20-26, and the Japan All-Star Series, which will take place in Fukushima, Japan, Aug. 1-9. Earlier this year, Reynolds was named as an alternate for the 2022 USA Softball National Team that will compete at the 2022 World Games in July in Alabama.
