Husky Invitational
Nordstrom Tennis Center and Bill Quillian Stadium
Friday-Sunday, Oct. 7-9
Washington's 2022-23 women's tennis season has its first serve this Friday, as the Huskies are set to host the Husky Invitational at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and Bill Quillian Stadium. The tournament is the first of three fall events for the Huskies and the only chance to catch the Huskies at home until January.
For the second year in a row, the Husky Invitational includes Pacific Northwest rivals Washington State, Oregon, and Portland, along with DePaul, making the longest trip over from Chicago. The tournament follows a "hidden dual" format.
Washington welcomes back five letterwinners from last season's NCAA tournament squad, including All-Pac-12 honorable mention junior Sarah-Maude Fortin, seniors HIkaru Sato and Ashley Chang, and juniors Yolanda Lin and Astrid Olsen. Joining the Dawgs are a pair of transfers from Columbia, Jennifer Kerr and Melissa Sakar, and a freshman from Yokohama, Japan, Erika Matsuda.
