UPDATED OCTOBER 14, 2021
SEATTLE – University of Washington Athletics previously announced that after close consultation with university, local and state public health officials, as well as Seattle's professional sports franchises, it will implement a vaccine verification system for all Husky ticketed events beginning with UW football's game versus California on September 25. All spectators 12 and older will need to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. Fans under the age of 12 are exempt from providing proof of vaccination or a negative test. The below information and FAQ detail the verification process. Additionally, in accordance with state policy, all spectators are required to wear a mask, indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status at all Husky athletics events. Details for attendance at Husky volleyball and soccer matches will be shared next week.
There are two ways for fans to get into Husky Stadium:
Fans can get pre-verified beginning four hours before kick-off to receive a wristband after providing proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test. To get pre-verified fans can visit one of the following pre-verification check stations: Husky Ballpark, Alaska Airlines Arena, Rainier Vista, Husky Harbor & E12. Fans who receive a wristband will be able to utilize a separate, Fast Pass-like line to enter Husky Stadium at the North, Northwest, and Southwest Entrances.
Fans who don't visit one of the pre-verified check stations can follow signage marked at Husky Stadium entrances where they will need to show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test at the gate to enter the stadium. Once through, fans will then go through the stadium's clear bag check policy followed by the mobile ticket scan. Fans who get verified at the entrance will NOT receive a wristband. All entrances to Husky Stadium will open 2 hours before kickoff (gates will open at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25) to allow more time for fans to enter.
Due to staffing shortages with its contracted, third-party staff, UW Athletics is encouraging early arriving fans to visit one of the pre-verification check stations prior to entering the stadium to assist with efficiency and time needed to get inside Husky Stadium.
Season ticket holders who wish to receive a wristband for the entirety of the season can stop by the Husky Ticket Office inside Graves Hall between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 24). These wristbands will need to stay on for the entire season and are not removable. If you would like to remove your wristband, you will need to get re-verified at future games. Season ticket holders can also provide a negative COVID test to receive a day of game wristband from the ticket office during the above hours.
