HONOLULU – The #8 Washington Huskies finished a clean sweep of the weekend, defeating the Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine 11-3. The power bats of Noelle Hee and Sami Reynolds led the way: Hee had her second career multi-homer game, while Reynolds homered and drove in five.

Washington has now scored in double digits in three of its last four games, winning three of those games by run rule. The Huskies move to 16-2 on the season with the win.
Hee, Reynolds, and Sis Bates would combined to go 10-for-12, with Bates a perfect 4-for-4. Bates tripled in the game, tying her with Ashley Charters and Becky Newbry for the Washington record, giving her 16 career triples. Bates would score after every one of her hits.

The Huskies had an all-staff game in the circle. Sarah Willis started the night, throwing 1.0 inning and ceding the circle after a single and walk in the second. Brooke Nelson took over and threw 2.2 innings, recording a season-high five strikeouts without allowing a run.

Gabbie Plain had her 25.2-inning scoreless streak come to a close in the game as Hawai'i managed a solo home run against the Aussie ace, but would not allow another hit in her 3.1 innings. She would end the day with six strikeouts and only two baserunners allowed. It was Plain's seventh appearance this year allowing one or fewer hits.

		SCORING
First Inning: Reynolds' hot streak continued as she drove in her seventh run of the series, singling and driving in a run in the first inning for the second game in a row. Espinoza added to the lead with a sac fly that scored Reynolds a few batters later for a 2-0 lead. Second Inning: For the second game in a row and third time this season, Hee went yard, making it 3-0. Bates' second hit in as many innings brought in another run. The final run of the inning came on a delayed steal, with Reynolds swiping second, then Bates taking off and scoring on the throw to second. Hawai'i would score on a wild pitch and a delayed steal in the bottom half to make it 5-2. Third Inning: Espinoza doubled to leadoff the inning, then would score on a fielder's choice by Lynch. Fifth Inning: Hee ripped another long home run in the fifth to make it 7-2. Reynolds also homered in the inning, a three-run shot that gave her a new career high with six homers on the season. Hawai'i would hit a solo home run in the bottom half to prevent the run rule from coming into effect. Seventh Inning: Reynolds' fifth RBI came on a sacrifice fly, scoring Bates from third after the senior's triple.

		NOTES
Washington has scored in the first inning in four consecutive games. Washington's six stolen bases are its most since March 1, 2015, when it also stole six. Bates (4x4, 4 R, 3B, RBI, 2 SB) has hits in 12 of her last 13 games and in five straight. This was Bates' fourth career four-hit game. Reynolds (3x4, 2 R, HR, 5 RBI) has driven in a run on six of her last seven hits. Reynolds finishes the weekend with 11 RBI in three games. Flores (1x4, SB) had her first career steal, in the first inning. Hee (3x4, 2 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI) has driven in runs on five of her six hits this year, with four of those hits homers. Hee had her second career multi-homer game and first since February 10, 2018. Plain (3.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 6 K) has had two scoreless streaks of 20+ innings this season, giving her eight in her career. Plain has not allowed more than one hit in any of her last four appearances.

Washington returns home for its first games at Husky Softball Stadium since 2019 next weekend, hosting the Husky Classic. That will begin on Friday, March 12, with Washington facing off with Seattle U at 5:00 pm.
