
GymDawgs Set Four Career Highs In Berkeley

BERKELEY, CA – The Washington GymDawgs finishes the regular season with another strong meet, putting up a score of 196.025 against #6 Cal. Three different gymnasts set career highs: Skylar Killough-Wilhelm, Allie Smith, and Morgan Bowles combined for four new career highs during the meet.
On vault, the GymDawgs set a new season-high team score for the second week in a row, this time with a score of 49.275. Smith led the way for the GymDawgs, winning the event title and setting a new career high with a score of 9.925. Killough-Wilhelm also set a new career high with a score of 9.875. Geneva Thompson also earned a score of 9.875, her sixth meet this season earning above a 9.800 on this event.
On bars, Killough-Wilhelm matched her career high for the third meet in a row, earning a score of 9.850. Thompson earned a score of 9.875, the seventh time this season she has earned a 9.800 or above on this event.
The GymDawgs had two gymnasts set new career highs on beam. Killough-Wilhelm set a new career high with a score of 9.875 and Bowles set a new career high with a score of 9.800. Katie McNamara earned a score of a 9.875, her fourth time earning a score above a 9.800 on this event. Freshman Taylor Russon made her collegiate competitive debut, competing in the sixth spot on the lineup for the GymDawgs. Eight different GymDawgs have already made their collegiate debuts this season.
On floor, Thompson matched her career-high, earning a score of 9.900. Killough-Wilhelm earned a score of 9.850, her third meet in a row earning a 9.800 or above. Amara Cunningham also matched her career-high earning a score of 9.950 for the second meet in a row. Cunningham has earned a 9.800 or above in 18 of the last 19 meets, stretching back to the 2019-20 season.
The GymDawgs travel to West Valley City, Utah, to compete in the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday, March 20, time TBD.
