
GymDawgs Set 12 Career Highs Against Cal

SEATTLE – The Washington GymDawgs set season highs on all four events en route to a season-high team score of 196.575 in their final home meet of the season. Eight different gymnasts set career highs. Amara Cunningham, Skylar Killough-Wilhelm, Gabi Wickman, Morgan Bowles, Lauren Thomas, Katie McNamara, Allie Smith, and Isa Weiss combined for 12 new career highs during the meet.
The GymDawgs started the meet earning a season-high score of 48.975 on vault. Cunningham led the way for the GymDawgs matching her career high with a score of 9.875. McNamara earned a score of 9.825, her second score this season over a 9.800 on this event.
On bars, the GymDawgs matched their season high score earning a 48.950. Killough-Wilhelm matched her career-high for the second week in a row with a score of 9.850. Geneva Thompson earned a score of 9.850. Thompson has scored a 9.850 or higher in five of the last six meets on this event.
The GymDawgs had a solid night on beam, setting a season high score of 49.175. Morgan Bowles set a new career-high for the second week in a row with a score of 9.825. Thomas and McNamara scored a career-high 9.900, tying for the event title. This is Thomas's first event title of the season and McNamara's third.
The GymDawgs dominated on floor setting a season high of 49.325. Smith matched her career high in the last two meets and tonight she set a new one scoring a 9.850. This is Weiss's third time competing on floor this season and she set a career-high score of 9.800. McNamara also set a career-high earning a score of 9.875, her third time this season earning a 9.800 or above on this event. Killough-Wilhelm set a new career-high score earning a 9.900. Cunningham led the way for the FloorDawgs setting a new career-high with a score of 9.950 and earning the event title. This is the second week in a row that Cunningham has earned the title and marks her fifth of the season.
The GymDawgs travel to Berkeley, CA, to take on the California Bears in Pac-12 play on Sunday, March 14, at 2:00 pm PST.
