
Teves, Sailor Named First Team All-America

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washington men's soccer team made more history on Thursday afternoon when Dylan Teves and Ryan Sailor were both named First Team All-America by the United Soccer Coaches. It marks the first time in program history that two Washington players were named to the First Team.
This week continues to be a banner one for Teves and Sailor, who were both also named semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, the top individual honor in collegiate soccer.
Teves was named First Team All-America for the second straight season and currently leads the Huskies with his 12 goals and 31 points. This postseason, he had back-to-back hat tricks against Portland and Indiana and is believed to be the the first player in NCAA history to accomplish that feat. Teves opened the season with a double-overtime golden goal against UC Davis and hasn't looked back since. He was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team, First Team All-Region and First Team Academic All-Region.
Sailor has continued his ascent into one of the top players in the country with this First Team honor. It is his first time being named an All-American in his career. This season, Sailor was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, All-Pac-12 First Team and First Team All-Region. His 6 goals and 14 points are both tied for second on the Huskies behind Teves. In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Sailor is a team captain and anchors a defense that has 11 shutouts on the season in 20 matches.
