Dylan Teves Named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete Of The Year

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Dylan Teves was named the Pac-12 Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2021, the conference announced on Friday afternoon.

Teves has had a memorable year in the classroom and on the field and this recognition encapsulates all that he has accomplished. He is the first Washington men's soccer student-athlete to win the award since Brent Richards in 2011.

After being named First Team Academic All-District by COSIDA, Teves is a candidate for COSIDA Academic All-America as well.

On the field, Teves leads UW and the Pac-12 with 12 goals this season. He is believed to be the first player in NCAA history with back-to-back hat tricks in the NCAA Tournament.

He was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team after leading all players with 5 goals in conference games and helping lead the Huskies to the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Teves and Washington are back in action in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. against No. 10 seed Saint Louis.
