November 08, 2021 | Men's Soccer
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- For the second time in his Washington career, Dylan Teves has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
The honor is well-deserved, as Teves racked up five points on 2 goals and an assist to lift the Huskies to a 2-0 weekend and propel them back to the No 1 ranking in the country.
On Thursday's 3-0 win at UCLA, Teves opened up the scoring in the 22nd minute, good for the conference-best 4th game-winner of the season. He put the finishing touches on the win with his second goal of the match in the 87th minute. It was the first-career brace in a Pac-12 match for Teves, who also tied a career high with four points.
In the second minute of action on Sunday at San Diego State, Teves played in a perfect pass to Nick Scardina, who scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win. The assist was the seventh of the season for Teves, who moved into 9th place all-time in Washington history with his 22 career assists.
Teves is the third different Husky to be named Pac-12 Player of the Week this season, joining Lucas Meek and Kendall Burks.
