Off the Course with Alice Duan

Senior Alice Duan joined the UW program prior to the 2018-19 season as a transfer from Cal State Northridge. She competed in 12 events during her first year in purple and gold averaging a 75.08 score. She posted two top 10 efforts and seven rounds under par. As a senior, Duan continued her stellar play seeing action in seven events and earning a tie for ninth at the Molly Collegiate Invitational. She also finished in the top 30 in five of her seven events.

Best thing about UW?
The awesome athletics culture and strong business school. The huge amount of school spirit everyone has for UW makes me super proud to be a Husky, love wearing that W on my chest.
Hardest hole you have played in college golf?
#14 at Blessings GC
Your favorite place to eat in Seattle?
The Met, or Little Sheep
Funniest teammate?
Kendra Ma (Wenyan Ma)
Most enjoyable class so far at UW?
FIN465, Asset Management. Learned so much about both finance, and life. Shoutout Mike Thomas, MVP Professor
Favorite other sport at UW?
Football or Tennis
Best part about being on the UW women's golf team?
So many laughs with my awesome teammates, we all support and love each other and have really good chemistry. Plus we all love asian food so deciding where to go for team dinners is easy and TASTY.

MaoMao
Favorite vacation destination?
Hawaii
Best shot you have seen a teammate hit?
Karen's held-off 4 hybrid to a foot on #1 at Broadmoor when we were doing our team scramble, or MaoMao's second & fourth shots on #6 at Tumble Creek during qualifying.
