
Bednarik Player Of The Week Is Latest Honor For ZTF

Washington's Zion Tupuola-Fetui has been named the Chuck Bednarik Award's National Player of the Week today, adding to his long list of honors already this season.
Saturday vs. Utah, in a game that the Huskies won, 24-21, after trailing 21-0 at halftime, Tupuola-Fetui racked up six tackles, three of them sacks, with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, which he returned 29 yards.
The sophomore from Pearl City, Hawai'i, has recorded multiple sacks in each of the UW's three games this season, the first three starts of his young career. He had two sacks each vs. Oregon State and Arizona, and also forced a fumble in each of those games. He currently leads the nation in sacks per game (2.33) and is second in forced fumbles (1.0 per game).
Already this week, he was named Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week for the third week in a row, and was also Athlon Sports' National Defensive Player of the Week.
