Vandenkolk Named Pac-12 Coaches' Choice Award Winner

SAN FRANCISCO - After making her competitive collegiate debut last week, Washington's Hannah Vandenkolk has been named this week's Coaches' Choice Award honoree by the Pac-12. This is the first weekly award of the season for the GymDawgs and first of Vandenkolk's career.
After missing all of her freshman year with injury, Vandenkolk debuted at Michigan in the first meet of Washington's season. The sophomore stuck her landing on beam and earned a score of 9.800 to lead the GymDawgs on the event.
Vandenkolk is just the seventh GymDawg ever to earn a weekly honor from the Pac-12. She joins Allison Northey as the only GymDawgs to earn weekly honors in their first competitive seasons at Washington. This is the first ever Coaches' Choice Award for the GymDawgs, as this is the first year of the award's existence.
The GymDawgs return home from Michigan ready for their first two home meets of the 2020 season. The home opener will be Monday, January 20 at 6:00 pm as Washington hosts Boise State. Washington will then host Cal on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 pm in its first Pac-12 action of the season.
