KLATOVY, Czech Republic --- Incoming transfer junior Rita Pleskevich is representing Russia at the 2019 FIBA U20 Women's European Championships which began on Saturday, August 3 in Klatovy, Czech Republic.
Pleskevich is in her second year with the Russian U20 Team, which opens the 2019 tournament in Pool C along with Sweden, Poland and the Czech Republic.
"It is a great honor for Rita to play for Team Russia this summer at the FIBA U20 European Championships," said Washington Head Coach Jody Wynn. "She is getting invaluable experience playing with and against older, experienced women at such a high level. We encourage our foreign student-athletes to train and play for their countries during our team's off-season, and are looking forward to Rita joining us here on campus in September."
