August 29, 2019 | Men's Golf
SEATTLE – The University of Washington Men's Golf Team will travel all across the country during the 2019-20 season heading from Hawaii to Dallas to Florida to Oregon competing on some of the best courses in the United States.
They will first start at home though, hosting the Husky Invitational for the second-straight year, but this year competing at Golf Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton on the Olympic Peninsula, Sept. 16-17.
"This schedule for this young group sets up very nicely," said head coach Alan Murray. "We get to play some of the best courses in the country which is one of the perks of playing college golf at a prestigious program. I think the competition builds in a good way to have us playing our best golf when it matters the most. We're really excited about the year and then to also be able to host the Pac-12 Championships here in Seattle is going to be great for our team."
Washington will then head to the Old Town Intercollegiate, Sept. 23-24, hosted at the Old Town Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The creator of Prairie Dunes and Southern Hills designed the course with the prestigious tournament being hosted by Wake Forest.
Continuing their fall slate, Washington will compete at the Maridoe Intercollegaite, Oct. 6-8, hosted by North Texas at the Maridoe Golf Club before heading to the Georgetown Intercollegiate, Oct. 14-15, at the Four Streams Golf Club in D.C. To round out the fall schedule, the Huskies will head to the Ka'anapali Collegiate in Ka'anapali Hawaii, Nov. 1-3.
Turning to the spring schedule, Washing opens at the Arizona Intercollegiate, Jan. 27-28 at the Sewailo Golf Club. They'll have a month break before heading to the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Golden Eagle Country Club, Feb. 22-23.
Up next is an event at the impressive Bandon Dunes course in Oregon for the Bandon Dunes Championship, March 8-10. Washington continues it's Oregon tour competing in the Duck Invitational, March 23-24, at the Eugene Country Club, which hosted the 2016 National Championship.
The Huskies close the season at the Stanford Golf Club, March 26-28, for The Goodwin followed by the Western Intercollegiate, April 13-15, at the Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz.
Washington hosts the Pac-12 Championships, April 27-29, at the Seattle Golf Club while Regionals take place May 18-20 at various locations. The NCAA Championships will be held at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
