Draw Set For Fung and Zupancic at NCAA Individual Championships

ORLANDO --- The draws are set for Washington's Stacey Fung and Nika Zupancic as they prepare for the 2019 NCAA Individual Championships this week at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
Fung, who is competing in both singles and doubles, opens the tournament with an early time slot, taking on Syracuse's Gabriela Knutson at 7:00 am PT (10:00 am ET). Fung is ranked No. 47 in the latest ITA national rankings and holds a 17-10 singles record. Her opponent held a similar record, going 16-10 in singles play this year but is ranked No. 14 in the country.
Fung will team up with Zupancic on Tuesday in the first match of doubles competition. The Husky tandem--ranked No. 23 in the ITA rankings--open against the 28th-ranked team of Lourdes Carle and Katarina Jokic from Georgia. Fung and Zupancic went 20-9 in doubles action this year, going 8-2 in fall tournament and 12-7 in duals. The Bulldog tandem is 11-7 in doubles play, going 10-6 in dual matches and 1-1 in tournaments. The start time for that match will be announced on Monday.
