Men's basketball senior Matisse Thybulle has won the 2019 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award presented by Bona, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced on Sunday at the Naismith Awards Brunch.

Two complete team efforts resulted in two dominant wins for the Husky track and field squad in the annual Boeing Apple Cup Series dual meet against Washington State on the purple of Husky Outdoor Track.

The No. 2-ranked Washington men's rowing team won all seven of its races Saturday, beating No. 6 Northeastern in four races before winning three out of three against No. 13 Stanford. The No. 1-ranked Washington women's rowing team advanced to A finals in all five of its races, winning four out five heats Saturday on the first day of the San Diego Crew Classic.

The sixth-ranked Washington softball team clinched another Pac-12 series victory with a 6-2 win over the Cal Golden Bears.

The No. 15 Washington women's tennis team saw its 11-match winning-streak snapped on Saturday, falling 4-0 at No. 5 Stanford in a battle of the lone two undefeated teams remaining in Pac-12 play.

The Washington men's golf team sits in sixth place as play was suspended before completion of the first round at the Aggie Invitational. The Huskies made it through 14 holes, shooting 3-over par.

Beach volleyball was a set away from its first ranked win of the season, but that last set went the way of No. 19 Stanford, as the Cardinal pulled out a 3-2 win over the Huskies at Stanford Beach Stadium. The tough but encouraging loss followed another competitive defeat for the Dawgs at the hands of No. 1-ranked and undefeated UCLA on the first day of the Pac-12 North Invitational.

Husky baseball fell at Arizona, 14-2, in the second game of a three-game Pac-12 series.
