A big fourth inning carried the No. 3 Washington softball team to an 11-2 victory over Utah, clinching another Pac-12 series. The win, UW's 16th in a row, was the third consecutive game the Huskies have scored double digit runs.
Husky men's tennis defeated No. 35 Cal, 4-3, in a back-and-forth match Friday afternoon at Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Back at the site where she first broke the hammer throw school record two years ago, UW track & field senior Onyie Chibuogwu broke it for the third time in her career, spinning and firing the ball 208-feet, 3-inches, to provide the second Husky school record in the last two days.
The Washington men's golf team is in 13th place after the first two rounds of the PING Cougar Classic. The Huskies shot a 5-over 293 in the first round and posted a 7-over 295 in the afternoon second round.
Husky baseball freshman Colton Cassinelli had three hits and Connor Blair drove in two runs, but BYU beat Washington, 7-3, at Husky Ballpark Friday night to even the series at a game apiece.
